Educational
& research technologies.

PhDTutorials is an independent product studio. We make software for students, teachers, and researchers, and we build it with the same rigor we learned in the lab.

I.Mission

Software for the people doing the careful work.

PhDTutorials LLC started with a simple idea: learning tools should be held to research standards, and research tools should be as easy to follow as good teaching. Our products live in both worlds.

Our portfolio is small on purpose. A product ships where it helps most, whether that’s a phone, a tablet, a browser, or a desktop, and every one of them has to be accurate, fast, and respectful of your time.

We’re independent, and we work directly with the students, educators, and scientists who use what we make. Their feedback sets the roadmap more than anything else does.

II.Portfolio

Five products. A growing portfolio.

Each product takes on one specific problem in learning, research, or craft, and we ship it wherever people run into that problem.

Research
ChemGenius
Live

Chemistry intelligence for researchers and students.

ChemGenius brings molecular visualization, reaction insight, and structured note-taking together in one place. It's built for chemists, drug-discovery teams, and serious students, with interactive 2D and 3D structure tools that fit the way research gets done. Available on the web now, with iOS, iPad, and Android apps on the way.

Fluent Feast
Live

Language learning, one recipe at a time.

Quill
Coming soon

Write it. Hear it. Remember it.

Quill is a private handwritten notebook for iPad. Record audio or add a video while you write, and Quill links every pen stroke to its timestamp. Tap your handwriting later and it jumps back to that moment, replaying your notes in sync with the recording. It comes with sixteen paper styles, PDF and image import, notebooks and nested tags, and PDF and PNG export. There's no account, no ads, no analytics, and no AI anywhere in it. Coming to the App Store.

Writing
Helicon
In development

One calm home for the whole book.

Helicon is a native Mac writing studio for novels, screenplays, and long genre fiction. Your outline, manuscript, characters, world, research, and progress all live in one project, and the app steps back when it is time to write. Plot across chapters, draft prose or a screenplay, save named snapshots, and export to Word, ePub, Final Draft, or a print-ready PDF. Worldbuilding runs deep too: map the ranks, rules, and abilities of a LitRPG or progression fantasy, and Helicon catches continuity slips before a reader does. The whole book is a single file you own.

We’re a young studio with a deliberate pace. New tools join the portfolio only when they meet our bar for usefulness and rigor.

III.Approach

What we work on, and what we won’t.

We hold everything we build to four commitments. They rule out plenty of software we could otherwise ship, which is fine by us.

Learning.

Our education products are for students working through new material, professionals picking up new skills, and anyone who is just curious. We try to respect your attention and keep lessons focused.

Research.

Researchers shouldn't have to fight their tools. Ours are built around the things scientists handle every day, like molecules, reactions, datasets, and notes, rather than generic productivity screens.

People.

Good software brings people along with it. We design for students and teachers, labs, and study groups, and anyone who uses our products can reach a real person by email.

Accuracy.

Educational and research software has to be correct to be worth anything. We check our content against primary sources, we say so when something is uncertain, and we are wary of AI systems that make things up.

IV.Contact

Press, partnerships, or just curious? We read every note.

PhDTutorials is a young studio. Educators, institutions, and researchers interested in collaborating on a product are especially welcome. Support and billing are handled directly by each product’s team. See our support page for the right contact.
